Tarot Birth Cards
The Tarot Birth Cards Almanac
In the Angeles Arrien and Mary K. Greer tradition, your tarot birth card is the Major Arcana archetype whose number matches the digit-sum reduction of your birthdate. The system divides the 21 archetypal lessons into three developmental rows, the worldly arena, the inner search, the awakening, and assigns each person to one of them by date. This almanac lists every archetype grouped by row, with the example birthdate sums that reduce to each. The calculator and the soul-card, personality- card, and year-card concepts are linked at the foot of the page.
The journey arc
The worldly arena
7 archetypes
The first row of the Major Arcana, Magician through Chariot, describes the encounters with worldly forces every person navigates: skill, intuition, embodiment, structure, tradition, choice, willed direction. Birthdays that reduce to one of these seven numbers carry an archetype rooted in the visible world. The lesson is mastery of conditions.
The inner search
7 archetypes
The middle row, Strength through Temperance, describes the inward turn. These archetypes mark the developmental task of integrating what the worldly self learned in row one with what lies beneath. Birthdays reducing to these seven numbers carry the lesson of self-knowledge: courage, search, fate, justice, surrender, release, alchemy.
The awakening
7 archetypes
The third row, Devil through World, is the awakening row. These archetypes describe the encounter with structural illusion, breakdown, hope, shadow, clarity, recognition, and completion. Birthdays that reduce to one of these seven numbers carry the developmental task of awakening, of recognising what was always larger than the personality could see.
